Layout

Via a sturdy gangway, you reach the compact wheelhouse with comfortable benches and a beautiful view over the Rijksvluchthaven and the Maas. The current owners often enjoy the water living here. From the wheelhouse, you can access the former cargo hold through the tea hut (utility room), where spacious rooms have been arranged due to the height and width. History

The ship was built in 1931 as a spits at the shipyard Chantier Naval Lalys in Ghent with a cargo capacity of 341 tons. In 1954, the ship received a Dutch registration under the name Res Nova. Until then, it had a Belgian registration. Since then, the ship has had many names until it came into the hands of the current owners in 2005.

Technology

The houseboat Wanderer was last inspected in 2020 for the hull and has CVO/CBB until 2027. The current owners have systematically renovated the ship into a spacious and practical houseboat with 3 bedrooms, a spacious kitchen, a luxury bathroom with sauna and steam cabin, and a living room and office in the roef. Heating can be provided by the diesel/pellet central heating and cooling with air conditioning units in all rooms. Technically, the ship is very well equipped for long journeys.
