More Details
Description
At Sweden Yachts, the focus is on high-quality sailing yachts in the cruiser-racer format. The 340 is still a popular choice for cruising sailors who do not want to compromise on safety and good offshore sailing characteristics despite a limited budget. It is simply fun to sail the 340. The boat is designed by Peter Norlin, known for his fast designs. The Sweden Yachts 340 features typical lines inspired by the IOR formula, with great width, a relatively wide stern, and a wedge-shaped structure that creates plenty of free deck space. The construction carries ample sail area on a high, well-trimmable rig.
Below deck, there is a very comfortable interior built to Scandinavian boatbuilding quality. Sleeping arrangements are in two large cabins, one at the front and one at the back. In particular, the aft cabin is very comfortable for a ship of this size and age. The high quality of Sweden Yachts makes them very popular and stable in value to this day. Under sail, the 340 is moderately sporty and achieves very good speeds on all courses, despite its relatively high weight of about 5.8 tons. It shows very good sailing capacity and pleasant wave behavior due to the lead keel.
