This Swan 48 Regatta version is a performance-driven sailing yacht designed for offshore sailing and competitive racing. Built in 2002 and conceived by Frers Naval Architecture, she combines a well-balanced hull, responsive steering and a layout optimized for efficient sail handling.

Constructed in single-skin GRP and finished in Flag Blue gelcoat, the yacht features a deep lead fin keel and a composite rudder that deliver stability, control and a direct feel at the helm. The deck is structured for active sailing, with teak-laid surfaces, quality deck hardware and a removable bowsprit supporting a versatile sail plan.

Her performance credentials are reinforced by an extensive North Sails inventory, largely renewed in 2017, including 3DL mainsails, a full range of carbon-aramid genoas and a comprehensive selection of downwind sails. This setup allows the yacht to perform efficiently across a wide spectrum of wind conditions, from fast cruising to regatta sailing.

Below deck, the interior is practical and welcoming, with satin-finished teak, well-organized accommodation and systems designed to support longer passages. Carefully maintained and upgraded, this Swan 48 Regatta offers a compelling blend of classic design, offshore capability and proven sailing performance.

General Arrangement

 

General

Teak with hand rubbed satin finish for all visible woodwork.

Floorboards with laid teak veneer with access to the bilge.

 

Forward Guest Cabins (Port & Starboard)

Fixed upper and lower berths. Hanging lockers forward. 

Two drawers under each lower berth. Small shelves above berth heads.

 

Aft Cabin

Portside double berth with single berth starboard and locker with drawers between the berths.

GRP moulding with shower pan, covering bulkheads up to washbasin height.

PAR WC – large bowl. Aft head WC drains either to a 45 litre (11,9 US gallons) sump tank or to sea cocks. Sump tank emptied by electricall pump and deck suction.

Three burner stainless Force 10 stove with oven, gimballed and provided with fiddles. 

Flame failure protection on burners. 

Manual gas shut-off cock adjacent to stove.

Remote controlled shut-off and leak detector near gas bottle with control switch and warning light in galley.  

Stainless steel sink with mixer faucet. Drawers for kitchen utensils.

Drip-dry rack for plates in cupboard above sinks.

Iceberg fridge and freezer compressor on the engine.

ENGINE & SYSTEMS 

Volvo Penta MD 22 KW 41.9 (57 HP) installed on flexible bas, inverter MS2A, gearbox 3.0:1.                             2020 completely overhauled

Built-in engine control panel starboard in cockpit, with acrylic protection door. Max-Prop three-blade right-handed propeller, diameter 570 mm.

One 300 litre capacity tank (79 US gallons) with shut-off valves and level guage. Water separator with alarm on feeder line, tank return line. Tank vents outboard. Fuel fill on deck portside.

 

Plumbing Systems

Two water tanks, total capacity 430 litres with level gauges

Hot and cold pressure water in galley and heads

22 litre AC Hot water heater (also heated by engine calorifier)

Filler inlet on deck

Tank vents drain to galley sink. 

Foot pump for galley sink spout.

  

Two manual bilge pumps, one below and one in cockpit, drain to sea cocks above waterline. 

Fridge and freezer drain with wash basin/shower manual pump.  

Watermaker 400 liter (105gallon)   per hour run on engine.

Drainage System

Galley sinks drain through sea cock.

Showers and wash basin drain to respective tanks 40 litres capacity each which empty with electric pumps to the sea cocks above waterline.
