The Pershing 70 sporty lines by Fulvio De Simoni are not only a detail of design but also able to improve the comfort on board.     Although this feature was designed for its esthetic impact, it has proved to be extremely valuable and functional. The plan was to come up with a design to run along the sides of the boat to give it a fast and aggressive look, as if it could fly over the water. This is why a fiberglass structure was added starting from the lateral gangways that connects the bulwark to the hard top. The structure’s sweeping form not only helps define the lateral design of the craft, rendering it recognizable as a quintessential Pershing, but also has proven to be extremely functional. The gangways are wider, uncluttered and protected and, observing it from the stern, the cockpit appears roomier.  Sitting on the sofa in the cockpit, you can feel that these new lateral wings help block the wind. The whole cockpit is protected. 

The 70’ is equipped with the third generation of autotriveling aboard a vessel that measures more than 20 meters, propelled by 3200 horsepower, and going at more than 46 knots. There are three cabins and three heads, plus another cabin for the crew. The galley is on the same deck as the sleeping quarters, so that the entire saloon can be used as a lounge. The big glass doors leading to the cockpit can be raised electrically further reduce the sense of separation between the interiors and the outdoors. It seems to be all one thing, and indeed so it is. The fullbeam master suite is located amidships. The position of the two windows is particularly spectacular because they extend down beyond the waterline so that you virtually feel as if you were surrounded by water. One of the onboard system that truly deserves a mention is the VOTIS, which stands for Videoworks One Touch Infotainment System. This is essentially a system that manages all the domotic features aboardship, from remote controls, to handling navigational data, to running the onboard entertainment equipment. All, as is usual by now these days, controlled via tablet.
