Description
OUTREMER 55 (2022) – “JOLIE” – Hull n°14 – French flag – EU VAT paid – Available March in La Grande Motte
Outremer Catamaran – experience built over time
For more than three decades, Outremer Catamaran has been designing and building sailing catamarans in France for owners who value reliable performance, safety at sea and long-term ownership.
Beyond construction itself, the shipyard has developed a complete ecosystem around its boats, offering owner training, technical follow-up, refit services, organised rallies and, at the end of each project, professional brokerage support. This continuity is part of what defines the Outremer approach: accompanying owners from their first miles to their next adventure.
JOLIE is offered today by the official brokerage department of the yard, ensuring full knowledge of the model, transparent history and direct access to the technical expertise of the builder.
The Outremer 55 has established itself as a reference for sailors looking for a fast, safe and comfortable catamaran capable of long-distance cruising. Her design focuses on light displacement, efficient hull shapes and a powerful but easily managed sail plan, allowing high average speeds while remaining reassuring in demanding conditions.
She is equally at ease on coastal passages, extended cruising or ocean crossings, and has already proven her capabilities on many blue-water routes sailed by the fleet.
The design of the Outremer 55 was entrusted to VPLP Design, one of the most respected naval architecture firms in the world of multihulls. For more than forty years, VPLP has been involved in major offshore racing projects, record-breaking yachts and advanced cruising multihulls.
Their work is recognised for its deep understanding of hydrodynamics, structural efficiency and balance under sail. On the Outremer 55, this translates into a catamaran that is both efficient and predictable, lively without being demanding, and particularly well suited for sustained offshore sailing.
Delivered in 2022, JOLIE is hull number 14 of the series. She has been sailed in the Mediterranean, where she has already demonstrated her ease of handling, her efficiency on passages and her comfort at sea, while remaining in excellent condition.
Her configuration clearly reflects a long-distance cruising philosophy. She is equipped with an extensive sail wardrobe by Incidence in Hydranet, combining durability and performance, including a mainsail, genoa, spinnaker, gennaker and staysail, allowing her to adapt efficiently to a wide range of sailing conditions, from light airs to offshore trade winds.
The carbon rig supports this powerful and versatile sail plan, while the complete B&G navigation suite, including radar and AIS, offers a high level of safety and situational awareness on long passages.
Particular attention has been paid to onboard autonomy and comfort. JOLIE benefits from an extensive solar panel installation providing strong daily energy production, as well as a 100 L/h watermaker, allowing long stays at anchor and true independence from marinas. For life on board in all climates, she is equipped with both air conditioning and diesel heating, making her equally comfortable in Mediterranean summers, northern latitudes or tropical regions.
The interior layout is bright, functional and well balanced, designed for life on board over long periods, whether for a couple or a family preparing extended voyages.
Available in March in La Grande Motte, under French flag and with EU VAT paid, JOLIE represents an opportunity to acquire a recent Outremer 55, fully equipped and immediately ready to sail, without the delays of a new build.
She is a yacht already prepared for Mediterranean cruising, and naturally suited for Atlantic crossings and long-distance sailing projects, including a future circumnavigation.
Offered by the brokerage department of Outremer Catamaran, with the support and services of the yard behind her, JOLIE is ready to accompany her next owners on their own journey at sea.
Asking price: 1,825,000 € – EU VAT paid
